Haitham Alkindi on his first day interning at Mastercard Haitham Alkindi at Mastercard's Dubai office

Starting my internship at Mastercard

Turning 22 last Saturday is the perfect excuse to announce that earlier this month, I began my internship with Mastercard as a Commercial & New Payment Flows (CNPF) Sales Analyst. The CNPF team here at Mastercard Dubai has been genuinely welcoming.

Working with Mastercard's state-of-the-art payment infrastructure [Smart Data, ICCP & VCNs], and engaging with large banks & FIs is providing me with real exposure and a deeper insight into B2B commercial transactions.

The B2B payments flow environment in EEMEA is growing rapidly, and being in the discussion shaping it, even as a newcomer, is an opportunity I intend to make the most of.

Presenting at the Dean's List ceremony

Honoured to have been both a presenter and a Dean's List awardee at the AUS School of Business Administration Dean's List Ceremony. 🙌 A big, BIG, BIG! thank you to my Dean's Business Team ! Being part of DBT has felt like joining a 💜 family, 💜 and I'm truly grateful for the incredible moments and experiences we've had thus far.

I am also super proud of everyone that worked hard to achieve this honour, and to everyone that organised such an event. I can't wait to see what the future holds for us 💜

Haitham Alkindi's Dean's List certificate, American University of Sharjah, Academic Excellence 2024 to 2025

Reflecting on my 2024-2025 academic year

Over the past academic year, I completed 11 courses and earned an average GPA of 3.70, which made me outqualify the 3.50 needed to earn a spot on the Dean's List for Spring 2025. This recognition is a reflection of the consistency, time management, and focus I have committed to my university journey so far.

As I shift more toward the finance side of my studies in the upcoming year, I will continue to additionally pursue my passion for management by committing to a Minor in Management. With my eyes set on maintaining my spot on the Dean's List and working toward a place on the Chancellor's List by the end of this upcoming academic year. I'm excited to keep building on this momentum, deepen my academic and practical understanding, and take on the challenges ahead with intention.

Continuing as Student Advisor at SBA

I am pleased to announce that I will be continuing my role as a Student Advisor at the School of Business Administration (SBA) at the American University of Sharjah for the upcoming semester! Since stepping into this position in January 2025, it has been an enriching experience.

This role has taught me that no two students are the same; each conversation requires a tailored approach, unique to the individual's goals, circumstances, and communication style, fully utilising my ability to adapt! Having to adjust how I present or communicate information to students through complex academic decisions, I have come to appreciate how impactful personalised advising can be. A key aspect that is present in the human resources management field. Looking forward to another semester of guiding, learning, and making a difference within my community!
